Established in 1946, the English Language and Orientation Program (ELOP) at Louisiana State University (LSU) provides English language training for international students and professionals from over 45 different countries each year. ELOP offers 5 terms per year with approximately 15 students per class. Students may begin the ELOP at any term.
Faculty
All basic courses are taught by full-time faculty with advanced degrees in ESL, English, Foreign Languages, and Education. Every member of the ELOP faculty has worked or traveled abroad extensively and has an obvious joy in teaching international students.
