6월2일National Trails Day with REI

National Trails Day is American Hiking Society's signature trail-awareness program that inspires people of all ages to discover, engage, and celebrate trails while participating in outdoor activities and trail-work projects. Join REI as we team up with San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy and Hike San Diego to help remove invasive plants and other needed habitat restoration activities along one of the Coast to Crest Trail segments at the River Path Del Mar. All ages welcome.

6월 3일Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra Showcase Concert

The 30th annual Mainly Mozart Festival, set for June 1-24, 2018 and led by Music Director Michael Francis, continues its six-year exploration of Mozart’s life with Year Three - Brave New World: From Rebel to Entrepreneur. In his early 20s, and longer Europe’s “golden child”, financial need forced Mozart to become a musical entrepreneur, dedicating himself to the business of music. Some of Mozart’s greatest works of this period will be featured in Festival programming, along with boundary-breaking works by other composers. Throughout the month of June, Orchestral and Chamber Music concerts, lectures, parties, and presentations throughout San Diego and Tijuana illustrate the story of one of the greatest geniuses of all time. On June 3, the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra will perform with Hernan Constantino (conductor), featuring Alex Kerr and Nathan Olson (Dallas Symphony, co-concertmasters).

Join us onboard the longest-serving aircraft carrier in the 20th Century, the USS Midway, in San Diego, California on June 9th, 2018 as we bring you a morning full of patriotism, meditation, melodious music, and healthy yoga practices on the flight deck, featuring donation-based classes that directly support Veteran’s organizations taught by top instructors.

6월 10일Youth Alliance 2018

The San Diego Art Institute (SDAI), a regional contemporary art center in Balboa Park, is pleased to announce Youth Alliance 2018: a showcase of student artwork created during the past school year with eight local nonprofit organizations including Art Reach, A4LSD, The FRONT Gallery, Casa Familiar, Outside Lens, CoTA, SDAI, and Words Alive! The exhibition includes three distinct group shows and marks the culmination of outreach programs that involved dozens of teaching artists, community volunteers, and hundreds of K12 students and teachers. By giving the students an opportunity to show their work in a public art space, SDAI hopes to raise awareness for local arts education. Youth Alliance 2018 features three group shows open M-F from 10 am-5pm and 12 pm-5pm on weekends with a FREE family workshop on June 9 from 11 am-4pm.

As a follow up to a 2017 debut that drew over sixty-six thousand visitors, Wonderspaces returns to San Diego this summer with fifteen new works of extraordinary art. The new show, titled With Creative License, opens June 8 at the B Street Pier with timed entries from 10am to 8:30pm daily. Tickets for Wonderspaces will be available on a monthly, space available basis and range from $14 to $24 dollars.
