Are you looking for a way to get active and healthy in 2018 that won't cost you any money? Join the City of Santee for the free inaugural Santee Active Lifestyle Expo. Held in conjunction with the USATF National 50K Race Walk Championships (7:30 a.m.-1 p.m.). Giant inflatable obstacle courses, firefighter challenges, kid's fit fun zone, active game area, fitness class demos, BMX trick show, and a variety of vendors showcasing the best of health and wellness. Try your hand at race walking, and meet & greet with professional race walkers. Made possible through the support of event sponsors like the City of Santee, Waste Management, and Grossmont Healthcare District.

1 27Puzzles by the Glass: Self-Guided Drinking Tour

Participate as a team, family, couple, or individual. Complete the adventure as quickly as possible or meander along aimlessly. The goal is to have fun outdoors and hopefully learn some interesting things along the way. All you need to play is a mobile device with web access. Tours are self-guided, so you can play any time you want. One price per team, not per person. Puzzles by the Glass follow the same format as the standard adventures -- the only difference is that you will be entering breweries, wineries, or bars. Alcohol is not included in the tour but should be purchased at each location you visit.

1 28The Butterfly Project: Film Screening & Art Creation

In recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27), San Diego History Center will host a powerful call to action through the arts, using the lessons of the Holocaust, to discuss the dangers of hatred and bigotry. This timely and family-oriented event will include a film screening of NOT the Last Butterfly (film is suitable for fifth grade and older), painting ceramic butterflies, painted butterfly installation, and scavenger hunt.
